Going Higher as the Year Narrows Down to the End

As I sit in the presence of the Lord today, I can feel the weight of December ending, not in a negative way, but in its fullness. There is the rush, the sense that there is so much to do and so little time to do it. I know I am not the only one feeling this, and I think women, especially wives and mothers, carry this weight in a particular way…..I believe this reflection may be for another woman too. Another wife. Another mother. Another woman tending to her home. Perhaps this season does not require you to do more, but to go higher.

Who Told You That?

Some of us are stuck not because God changed His mind, but because we believed a voice that never had permission. A belief system was planted. A lie was accepted. And now we are living under a narrative God never authored. God never warned Adam and Eve about the serpent. God did not expose the enemy, but He established a boundary. Their responsibility was not to identify evil. It was to remain aligned with what God had already said. Live in what God said.

So often we pray, “God, expose the enemy before he attacks,” “God, remove all my enemies from my surroundings,” or “God, show me who is against me.” But the better prayer is this: Lord, help me remain within the boundary of Your Word.

Prophetic Word | From Knowing to Proclaiming: The Shift that Completes the Joy

The moment is coming, and for some, it has already begun, where our lives will demand an explanation. Not because of words, but because the testimony will be visible. No longer just speaking faith with nothing to back it. No longer repeating what we know to be true. But walking in something that has been made manifest. People will look and ask, “What happened?” “When did this change?” “How did this come to be?” And the answer will be simple. This was the Lord’s doing.

When the Weight is Not Darkness but Light

Before I sat at my desk this morning, I was in prayer. I was not asking the Lord to reveal something new. I was asking Him to help me carry and organize what I already know. I prayed, Father help me steward what You have already shown me. And not long after that came the scripture:

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path
Psalm 119:105

A lamp gives enough light for the current step. A light on the path gives direction, but not the full journey. That settled my spirit.

The Safety of a Finished Word

There are moments in our walk with God when our spirit begins to long for the next chapter. Long for another level, a clearer assignment, a new season. We pray, we fast, we seek, and we wait. But this morning, the Lord corrected me gently:

“You already know what is required of you now. Finish that first.”

It was one of the most grounding and liberating revelations I have received. Because often, we assume stagnation means transition. We assume absence of motion means something new must be coming. We assume when our heart desires more, God must be preparing to open another door. But sometimes God is not waiting to speak. Sometimes He is waiting for us to obey.

Light, Darkness, and the Finished Word

This morning in prayer, the Lord began to untangle something in me that I did not even know was a knot. He started to show me that many of the things I call “waiting on God” are really me living more in what I do not know than in what He has already revealed.

Stretch Until Heaven Responds

When the extra mile unlocks supernatural strength

This morning during prayer, the Lord whispered something that settled deeply into my spirit. He said, “Do not avoid the stretching, because your strength is hidden inside of it.” I instantly knew He was not referring to physical stretching, but spiritual stretching. Obedience that pushes beyond comfort, beyond habit, and beyond emotional preference. Immediately, He brought me back to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. That moment is captured in multiple Gospels, but it is Luke who reveals something extraordinary. Luke 22:43 says:

“Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.”
